Songs that defined the summer of 2009. Don’t lie, you know every one of them.

Because 8tracks is being just completely killed by licensing laws. When I started using 8tracks back in 2014 it was okay, you couldn’t use more than 2 tracks by the same artist in a playlist, for some reason beyond me you weren’t allowed to see the full tracklisting of a playlist, and there were limited skips. But, you could be really creative with descriptions/covers/etc. and most of my playlist traffic was from tumblr anyway, where I posted the playlist and its track list so it wasn’t too much of an issue. But earlier this year 8tracks dropped support for international streaming, which massively hurt the user base, and then in the past month or so they’ve limited the listening time to 1 ½ hours a WEEK unless you pay for premium, which is complete bullshit and where I draw the line. The only way around this is if you’re popular and have 10,000+ likes across your playlists, in which case you get free premium (and hey that was me before I started moving my playlists over to Playmoss!) but that’s just not fair to people that are just starting out and tbh I’m over it.
And so the best alternative right now is Playmoss, and a lot of former 8tracks users are moving there and it’s far superior to what 8tracks was even in it’s prime. You can make unlimited playlists, unlimited length, as many songs by the same artist you want, you can see the full tracklist and switch between songs at will with no ads, no skip limits, and it’s all ran through youtube so you don’t have to do anything illegal on your part, you just copy and paste youtube links into the playlist you want. They have a chrome extension where you can add songs to your playlists right through youtube as you please, and you can still make covers and descriptions for your playlists!
Right now the playlist making community is pretty split between Playmoss and 8tracks, but I really strongly recommend Playmoss.
Although I will say I’m a bit suspicious about the legality of Playmoss on their part, it just seems too good to be true. It reminds me a lot of grooveshark and we all know how that crashed and burned.
Anyway lmao please move to Playmoss its way less shitty than 8tracks and I love it
A playlist about pretty ladies that have way too much power over me. Not that I’m complaining.
You knew this was bound to happen.
I go to those places where we used to go
They seem so quiet now
I’m here, all alone
You go to new places with I don’t know who
And I don’t know how to follow you
It’s strange … I would have thought I’d be dead by now. But if anything … I feel more alive than ever. Burning with anima. Exploding with spirit. Dancing at the center of an inferno, at the edge of a black hole, halfway to infinity. Not afraid of death … Because I’ve never been further from it.

At another time … in another life … perhaps things could have been different.
This was not that time.
This was not that life.
But the adventure is only just beginning.
I finished Lifeline: Silent Night and I’m in an angsty mood so suffer with me.
