Why buy expensive plants when you can work at your unis botany lab and “accidentally” bring home 23 individual succulents/rare plants over the course of 2 years
yes my house is slowly turning into a greenhouse

Yep! Begonias can get SUPER extremely cool. They’re one of my favorites and there are about 800 kinds…
Rex Begonias are usuallyyy sold as annuals in spring to go in shade combination planters. At my old greenhouse job, the only weird begonias I’d seen were Escargot Rex begonias

And also Pegasus/Gryphon begonias

Rex Begonias and other rhizomatous begonias are usually the most awesome and varied foliage wise. Here’s my others:

One of my favorites and plants I really want is Begonia maculata ‘Wightii”

Also… Begonia luxurians

And Iron Cross Begonias are cool

And also, my mom has hardy begonias which are super cool. They’re hardy to zone 6.

But yeah… begonias
Begonias are really cool. Some species are really, really cool, like Begonia ferox and locii.
B. ferox and B. PAVONINA! are two big reasons I’d like to try a large terrarium one day!
The Poison Garden
Established in 2005 by the Duchess of Northumberland. The garden contains over 100 deadly and hallucinogenic plants.
’I wondered why so many gardens around the world focused on the healing power of plants rather than their ability to kill… I felt that most children I knew would be more interested in hearing how a plant killed, how long it would take you to die if you ate it and how gruesome and painful the death might be.’
-The Duchess of Northumberland
So this garden was established because a woman knew that they way to get kids intrested in learning about plants was to show them how morbid plants could be. My kind of woman.
Walmart after 10pm is such a bizarre other worldly place it’s not real especially the garden center like if you enter the garden center after 10pm there’s a 76% chance you’ll meet your mirror self and they’ll kill you and replace you while your soul is stuck in the Walmart garden center to forever listen to old white ladies complain about their plants they got from a different store dying and them wanting a refund
I got the job at walmart which is cool yay i guess BUT its in the garden department with PLANTS I GET TO BE AROUND PLANTS AND NOT INSIDE ALL DAY YAAAAA

Im curious about your experience with the water crisis in flint? If you don't mind talking about it that is, I'm just interested in listening to peoples stories
Started in 2014. Couldn’t use the city water. There were water distribution sites and shit. The worst I got was when I was working at a local walmart and had to use the city water to water the plants in the garden center and I got rashes and the plants died because obviously
