why does mark hamill look so different from a new hope to the empire strikes back? he looks like hes a lot older or something, even though the movies are only 3 years apart...
I actually have an explanation for that! In January of 1977, Mark Hamill got into a pretty bad car accident. It wasn’t widely publicized because it was after they filmed A New Hope but before it came out, so no one knew who he was. He messed up his nose and cheek pretty badly, to the point where he had to have cartilage taken from his ear to reconstruct parts of his nose and cheek. It’s also rumored to be why Lucas wrote in Luke getting mauled by a wampa in the beginning of Empire Strikes Back, to make an excuse as to why he looked different.

-Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) is ridiculously tall
-Gwendoline Christie is almost as tall as him!!!
-Carrie Fisher is TINY and is also creeping on JJ

-As usual, Harrison Ford looks like he’d rather be anywhere else
-Oscar Isaac is full on model posing
-Anthony Daniels (C3PO) is posed exactly like C3PO
-Mark Hamill is uncomfortably in the corner
-BB8 looks adorable as usual with that head tilt
Only thing about you’re assessment: Adam Driver is actually holding Carrie’s emotional support dog, Gary, so she could creep on JJ.
Also may I just note that Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie are the same height normally, so Gwendoline is wearing heels. I’m not saying that to hate on her, I’m saying that because I’m SO GLAD she is; I know so many tall girls who are afraid to wear heels because they are afraid of being ‘too tall,’ or how men will look at them if they increase their already glorious height. But here we have the queen mother of gorgeous tall women wearing heels, and looking stunning, of course, while she’s at it. Oozing confidence and beauty, not giving a bother what the (frankly, often tiny short) boys think. So many tall ladies need to see that, and I’m so glad she owns her height and still has the confidence to wear heels.
Also Lupita N’yongo’s glorious indigo lipstick; absolute goddess right there!
