My best guess is that BB8 is remote controlled and so whenever it’s rolling around on the red carpet or at premieres there’s some guy standing off in the distance creeping around with a remote control

i mean i doubt its autonomous because it responds to interviewers questions intelligently and shit is expensive its probably partially autonomous for going beep boop on its own sw
