as a northerner, watching people experience snow for the first time is my favorite thing
This girl in my choir looked out the window at the snow and asked “is that really what snow usually looks like?” (It was very small and blowing around a lot)
my junior year of high school a senior came here (to michigan) from georgia and had never seen snow before so we had to teach her about putting chains on our tires and snow cleats and all that and when she saw snow she almost cried and the teacher let her go out and touch it and she was yelling “it’s so soft!! I didn’t think it would be so soft!!”
