I kinda know what gravitational lensing is, but what are light dips?

When a planet passes in front of a star, the stars apparent brightness drops a little because that planet is blocking out some of the light that’s reaching us. Kepler is a telescope we have that measures light dips around distant stars and helps us find exoplanets.
