A friend of mine randomly met Adam Driver in a pub in Ireland today. I can’t even describe how jealous I am.

Today! (19.5.16) My friend met him yesterday evening (I got that wrong on the first post, oops).

My friend posted an update about how the meeting between them approximately went down (note that the dialogue is not verbatim since I only roughly translated her German post).

She sits next to someone who looks very much like Kylo Ren (she didn’t remember his real name at the time). 

She: You look a whole lot like Kylo Ren.

Adam: That could be because I play Kylo Ren.

She: Oh. Ah. Okay. Probably. Then it’s okay.

Instead of leaving this awkward conversation, Adam proceeded to shake her hand, tell her that it’s nice to meet her and talk with her about Ireland and the shooting locations of the next Star Wars episode. 

So, briefly speaking, Adam Driver takes time to talk to fans despite the fact that he a) just came back from Cannes, b) was probably stressed, c) was in the presence of bodyguards, and d) the fan in question was pretty awkward and blushed a whole lot. Seems like he is indeed a very nice and down-to-earth guy.

listen i’m not one to add to posts but adam driver went to high school in my town and according to the local newspaper in this picture he’s arguing w/ the lunch lady bc the mayonnaise packet costs an extra 50 cents. kylo ren turned to the dark side bc condiments cost too much money.

Adam Driver has said before that he has anxiety about acting in movies because he’s afraid that people will belittle him for his appearance

Allow me to throw my two cents into the mockery of Adam Driver’s looks.

Just don’t. Make fun of Kylo Ren’s asshattery all you want, but leave Driver’s looks out of it. He seems like a thoughtful, awkward guy who has expressed hating seeing or hearing himself in interviews and his performances. He’s a former Marine. He runs a non-profit organization. He did a great job acting wise with Kylo.

  • Adam felt like a waist of space for the longest time, he felt like he wasn’t doing something ‘honorable’ with his life and that’s why he joined the marines, because he didn’t get into Juilliard. For him, is a blessing to get parts.
  • He has talked about how insecure he is, because yes, he is self-conscious thanks to the way people react to his physics.
  • Also a super awkward person. He is shy and doesn’t like to do much press, he gets nervous on interviews and doesn’t like red carpets.
  • DO NOT BE A BITCH TO ADAM.
