I keep having the same fucking dream. Like over the past month I’ve had it 4 times. 

I’m in Ecuador. I’m working at this little school somewhere in the jungle nestled against a mountain (does Ecuador even have mountains and jungles?? I know almost nothing about Ecuador) but I’m teaching at this school, it’s this little run down thing that’s barely held together. Anyway, it’s in the middle of the jungle because for some reason Ecuador is in the middle of this civil war and the government doesn’t want an educated youth, so we’re doing Super Sneaky School. But, then, there’s basically a raid on some of the villages and the government is killing off, just, as many natives as they can. They find footpaths to the school and basically storm the jungle and we can hear gunfire getting closer and closer to where the school is so we start hiding kids left and right. Just, wherever we can hide them. I go out one of the back doors to make sure all the kids are inside. The door is up a few steps, and nestled in the bush that’s by the steps and the side of the building is a soldier. I look down and we make eye contact and he just open fires on me. I manage to close the door but not before he shoots me in the right side 4-5 times. So I run into the school, I know we’re out of time, they’re right on top of us. I’m running down the hall (limping, really) and I collapse because, y’know, I’m shot. Bad. They storm the building. I can hear them just tearing the place apart looking for people but they can’t find anyone. We hid the children well enough that they couldn’t find them. They’re not to the hallway I’m in yet, and I think about dragging myself to one of the hiding places but I realize I’m bleeding very badly and would lead them right to one of the hiding spots that the kids are in, so I stay where I’m at and I wait for them to find me. They eventually get to my hallway and they run around me still looking for kids, one of the higher ups walks real slowly up to me, and he realizes I’m still breathing so he points his gun at my head shoots me. That’s when I wake up.
