for you people who think this is funny and honestly dont get my poem i will spell it out for you in 6th grade format. if you guys still dont understand after this I can reblog this again and explain in baby talk.

1. syrup that tastes so sweet but leaves a stickiness that wont leave means that girls who are so great/amazing whatever but she moved on or doesnt like you or whatever so she never leaves your head.hence the stickiness that wont leave.

2. docile dandelions that blow away and leave you forever. this can mean a few things but basically a fragile girl who gets hurt and leaves you. “blow away” meaning you blew on her (the dandelion) metaphor for you hurting her.

3. animal bones that crush under your jaw. okay i understand how this is confusing to some but its really the bad girls the rebels the girls who are labeled “sluts”

4. home. you feel safe around her she is inside you like a home you are inside her and never want to leave. she makes you feel comfortable she makes you feel warm she is typically a girlfriend a wife. do i need to explain more about this one?

Im going to tag this under my major tags so the stupid people who come visit my blog after seeing a reblog of that “WHAT DO THIS MEAN” with the black guy or whatever it was can understand that i didnt just write random stuff. im not saying that poem was good but im saying it makes sense but it wont make sense if you’re a surface thinker

It has been 53 years since humans abandoned their home. They’re now almost 14 trillion miles from Earth. Out here, the stars are distant and faint, leaving the Atlas to be illuminated only by the florescent lights lining its halls. This is the farthest anyone has ever strayed from home.

The Alpha Centauri system is 4.37 light years from Earth, and is the Atlas’ destination. Seven planets, three of which are habitable. It was the only logical option.

Over half a century ago they left in search of another home. They had left their home planet it waste and ruin, an unsalvageable husk of what was once their own Eden of which they were cast out. They drove themselves to the brink of extinction with wars waged by the rich where it was the poor that died.

Some had accepted the fate of the human race. Many were in denial.

But there were a few hopeful young scientists with a plan that would require all hands on deck. An engineering feat never before seen by humanity, and they put everything they had left into it.

The Atlas. Carrier of the World upon his shoulders. The last stand against total annihilation.

Extinction is the Rule. Survival is the Exception.

I think by far the worst fandom I was ever in was my first fandom that I actually participated in - which was the Beatles (and by extension classic rock). So this was in 2010-2011, and then it branched out to classic rock in 2012 before I left (Technically Star Trek 2009 was the first but I wasn’t active). What a flaming trash fire that was. It was just. So embarrassing? The average age of people in the fandom at that time were 13-16 years old. So there were a lot of young girls and then a smattering of older people - men, usually, who grew up with the Beatles/Classic Rock.

So of course there were scandals. Older men preying on these little girls. I remember one in particular, it was actually a woman in her 20’s - and she was BIG in the fandom. 10k followers at least. And she had been soliciting nudes out of these little girls for YEARS until it all came to a head and she was ran off the site.

And the racism. Yoko Ono. The “witch who ruined the Beatles.” Fan girls couldn’t be bothered to come up with actual reasons to hate this woman so of course it always turned to racism. It always ended with slurs.

And there was a huge problem - moreso in the classic rock fandom as a whole - with underaged groupies. Led Zeppelin in particular had a lot of dealings with underaged groupies, some as young as 14. And these fan girls not only condoned it but they encouraged it. They had wished it was them a lot of the time.

There was also a big issue with people harassing the band members’ families on social media. This happened a lot with The Who in particular. These girls would harass the band members’ children and wives for pictures and it was just so bizarre and appalling, honestly.

Looking back now I can’t believe how toxic just… everything about it was.

after that it went to rooster teeth for a while then pacific rim then flip flopping between star wars and star trek and now im just old and tired
