My astro profs favorite animals are gerbils so I showed him a video of the ones I adopted the other day and to see a grown ass man lose his shit over how cute my gerbils were was the most magical thing we had a 20 minute conversation about how much he loves gerbils and little rodents in general what a sweetie honestly

This is priceless. Fur is a great nest-building material. Normally, birds get it from snags on branches or (maybe, I’m not sure) dead animals. I know some people who actually put out a bird-feeder full of hair for the birds after they brush out their dog, specifically so that it can be turned into nesting material.
This is a very brave birb who has learned where it comes from and just decided to go get some from the source, and a dog who is probably too asleep to care.
Oh, wow, that’s cute.
No worries here at all! Kenyan sand boas are big diggers - this snake is trying to burrow in the glove and isn’t sure why it’s not working out so hot. They’ll figure it out eventually.
