/2/ that bullshit is unhelpful & actually detrimental. People generally know if they’re healthy or not, no need to point it out. Using myself as an example, I’m fat due to a multitude of reasons, such as my general family history, hormonal imbalances, & the real kicker, mental fucking illness. Severe depression, anxiety, & an eating disorder. I am well-fucking-aware of my physical health because it’s tracked by my therapist & doctors. Some asshole speaking from a supposed place of concern -
/3/ won’t be the big hero that suddenly changes my life. They’re not dropping some crazy knowledge on me that I’ve never heard before & suddenly I realize I need to eat right & exercise properly. They’re just reminding me of how noticeable my weight is, only furthering my self-hatred & fueling my insecurities. If someone left a message like that for me, I would spend the rest of the day either avoiding mirrors out of despair & hiding from the world, so that no one has to see my hideousness, -
/4/ or I’ll spend the rest of the day obsessed with analyzing my appearance, almost as a punishment, forcing myself to look at the thing I hate most, myself. Basically, that anon you got is a fucking asshole & seeing that pissed me right the fuck off. Also, sorry for ranting & sending like 4 asks but I have many thoughts on this issue. Also, you’re really badass, I can’t believe you can deadlift that much & I’m glad you’re healthy & have a lovely day.
I totally understand what you mean like it does nothing but make me feel shitty like thanks buddy,,
thank you for the rant tho <3
