Hey, same about Linkin Park. I grew up with depression in an abusive household and honestly their music meant so much to a very sad very angry girl who had nowhere to turn. Their music helped me process what I look back on as an adult and realize were suicidal thoughts, and feelings of hopelessness and being trapped. I remember listening to In the End and later Numb and feeling not alone for the first time. I hate that music that helped so many kids deal is dismissed as "emo phase stupidity."
Yeah I hate the bad rap they get as some edgy emo band because shit like they helped me through some shit
