okay, i’ve gotta ask what the deal is with all these bob’s burgers character blogs that just steal *relateable humor* posts from other twitter/tumblr users, because now they appear to be stealing posts from each other? is it some sort of ad revenue scam like those CGI elsa finger family videos? are they some sort of AI gone rogue, having learned to feed off each other in an infinite loop of Quirky Humor? i need answers here
In the wake of this blog getting attention Alex deleted the entire web presence of The Leelah Project and their own facebook as well as putting their twitter and instagram to private. We got screenshots of The Leelah Project’s pages when it was still open and will use them to do a master post on the events.
The Leelah Project’s GoFundMe page got almost $16000 in donations over 2 months time. After the fees taken out it would be $14518.93.
The stated goal was 500 packages sent. We did the math in our first post and it looked like this:
We noticed that the project claimed each package costs $82 shipped. The
GoFundMe page for the project raised $15992. GoFundMe takes 7.9% of
proceeds plus 30 cents per donation for all 699 donations so it’s
$14518.93. They also raised money through PayPal, partnerships with
businesses, other online fundraisers and local fundraisers in Miller’s
hometown of Los Angeles. Even if the $14518.93 was the total they should
have been able to send 177 packages not including any of the clothes
and stuff they got donated to them. Sending 120 packages would cost
$9840.
When Alex asked for more money on February 26 they said they could only send out 75 more packages.
When the project announced on March 29 (the day after our initial message to Alex) that it was shutting down they said they shipped out 120 packages total.
That means that less than 20 packages were shipped out between February 12 and March 29. Even if autumncityqueen‘s story is accurate to their knowledge it still doesn’t add up. After they left the project Alex appears to have stopped sending out packages. When we spoke with Alex via email they sent us pictures of receipts from before February 12 and after our message. They said they would send us pictures of the other receipts from their office but never did.
Notice the gap between February and us demanding proof at the end of March.
The math above assumes Alex paid for everything for each package and didn’t use any donated clothing or makeup. They did get donated clothing and makeup from a clothing drive at their local Rocky Horror Picture Show and a drop box in their area plus mailed in donations. Not to mention the Amazon wish list.
We can tell from this that the packages cost much less to send out than what they stated in the GoFundMe but the money ran out faster than it should even if they bought every single thing they sent. Even if they are telling the truth about the number of packages sent out they should have been able to send out at least 57 more and probably way more than that because of the donations.
It’s good that screenshots were taken because now:
We ask that everyone leave autumncityqueen out of this because as we can see here the bulk of the scam took place after they left the project and there’s no reason to believe they were anything but earnest.
what, what's the story with you stealing back your research? what?
I left the university where I spent the last year doing research and they were like “ah cool all that work you did…. that’s ours now” despite the fact that I’m continuing my research at a better lab now so my old boss and I went in and purged the servers of my work and saved it all on portable hard drives for me to take to the new lab, where I will still be working with my old boss / new coworker
Yeah well perhaps they should have figured out what a border is first. Because their parents broke the law by Crossing ours and better than spend the time in these facilities than a prison with grown adults who made the human traffickers not even their parents
These people in detention have not committed a crime. - I don’t mean that in a moral or a figurative sense. I mean literally. It is NOT a crime to ask for asylum. - These people didn’t jump a fence, they didn’t sneak into the backyard. They are knocking on the front door and saying “People are trying to kill me in my home country, will you let me in?” - Now, I didn’t fall off the turnip truck. Some of these people are lying. That’s why you have a hearing. And because they might wander off, these people are held in detention until the hearing. - This hearing is NOT in a criminal court. It’s in an immigration court. Because these people have not committed a crime. - Immigration court is not like criminal court. You don’t have a right to an attorney. - So these people are waiting around, separated from their children, with no attorney, until they get a hearing. - In 2015, the median wait for an immigration hearing was 404 days. - Here’s where it gets even more twisted. If people plead guilty to asylum fraud, they get their kids back and get deported. - So these people knock on the front door, which is perfectly legal, and we take their kids, and tell them the quickest way to get the kids back is to confess to fraud. - If someone committed a crime (ie. shoplifting, armed robbery, murder) and you took their kids away to make them confess, that confession would be thrown out. - But these confessions are lawful, because this isn’t criminal court. - Because these people haven’t committed a crime. - Now some people think that if we make it so unpleasant for these people, they will stop trying to cross the border. - But the message this sends isn’t “Go Home.” The message it sends is “Sneak in.” - If they go home, they think they will be murdered. If they request asylum, they are separated from their children. - If they sneak in successfully, they’re safe. If they sneak in and get caught, they are no worse off than if they sought asylum legally. - And remember, these people haven’t committed a crime.

Hey Americans, the Uk will trade you our Royal Family for the Obamas. All of ours, even the kids. We’ll even throw in some of those “handsome” British actors you like so much, we don’t care. Hell, take the crown jewels too.
Bernie is losing momentum due to less and less young voter turn out. Nevada would have been ours but the young voter turn out was very low. I hope people actually go out and vote rather than just offering social media support. This is such a pivotal moment in American politics that it would be a huge disservice to the world to not go out and vote in the primary.
tl;dr the actual business of infowars is going to be handed over immediately to a trustee that works for the department of justice, who is going to take over handling where money goes for day-to-day operations while also auditing the business and possibly reversing prior fraudulent transactions. alex jones can no longer send himself money while insisting he's broke because he owes himself so much money. the trustee will be able to see exactly how much money he's making, and will be able to send it where it's actually supposed to go while also reporting the exact state of infowars' finances to the court, something jones literally defaulted to avoid doing.
