hi space mom so I'm in high school and I'm super interested in cosmology and want to pursue a degree/career in it, meaning I'll have to take lots of physics classes. I excel in math and am taking much more advanced coursework than my peers (I'm in college calc and most of them are in algebra 2) but my problem is for some reason I struggle in applying math in physical science contexts. college chemistry and physics have been a struggle so far because of it. maybe just bad teachers? idk. any tips?

Try to find people who teach the material in different ways. Like, look on YouTube for videos on topics and maybe you’ll find you understand better when the material is taught in a more intuitive way to you. Another thing I do is fiddle around with the organization of my notes to find a layout that works best for me. I usually make web maps to do this, connecting certain topics in certain ways allows me to understand the big picture easier.
