Yo as a Michigander do you get people from other states noticing your accent? I didn’t even know I had one until my cousins friends in Massachusetts pointed it out. They had me say stuff like “tennis shoes” and were amazed when I pronounced them “tennashoes”
YES I was in Washington DC once and a tour guide noticed my accent and when I told her where I was from she was like afraid or something it was weird
