Trump’s ‘Fight!’ Tweet Is Our Call to End Mexican Scapegoating
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump went on Twitter this morning to incite violence against Mexicans. “I love the Mexican people, but Mexico is not our friend. They’re killing us at the border and they’re killing us on jobs and trade. FIGHT!”, Trump tweeted.
Calling on his Twitter followers to “FIGHT!” Mexicans marks a new low for the belligerent Trump. In doing so, he uses the threat of violence in an attempt to quell criticism and, we feel, as retaliation in response to the backlash he’s received over his original anti-Mexican comments made almost two weeks ago in announcing his candidacy.
Such hate speech leads to violence and death, as we’ve seen one too many times in our community.
Shown above are:
Brisenia Flores, 9, shot and killed by Minute Men in their Arizona home in May 2009. Her father Raúl was also killed. Her mother was shot, but survived.
Juan Varela, shot and killed in May 2010 days after SB1070 was passed in Arizona by a neighbor who yelled, “You fucking Mexican, go back to Mexico!” Varela’s family has lived in Arizona since before 1848 when it was still a part of Mexico.
Luis Ramírez, beaten to death by 4 teenagers in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, in July 2008. “Tell your Mexican friends to get the fuck out of Shenandoah,” one of Ramírez’s assailants yelled at him before he was attacked.
10 anti-Mexican hate crimes were reported in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Staten Island, New York, in 2010. The victims were typically men on their way home from work. Almost all of the assailants were young black men.
Anti-Mexican hate speech can’t go unchallenged. The scapegoating of Mexicans ends today!
This is very sad, I am Mexican, and it saddens me that this happening. I respect Americans because I’ve met that they are warm, sweet and kind people. people like Mr. Trump make you look bad to thousands of Americans who are not. In addition, Trump is not only calling for “fight” against Mexicans, what He is doing (and sadly making) is separated thousands of families, friends and good people who can make America a better country. I sincerely hope that Trump does not win the election because it will be the end of a great nation.
I’m no good in English, but I really hope can tell all right.
That’s the fuckign Lincoln Memorial
u heard me. my president, donald trump, lives inside a pillar of the lincoln memorial. got a secret door. little house in there. got a couch and a playstation. he lives in there and when he gets hungry at night he sneaks out & eats pigeons with his little hands. my president
I had a dream we got Hillary Clinton to somehow become president instead of trump and one of the first things she said was that she was having a baby and naming him “Aass” and we were just like…girl…we fought so hard for you and you’re repaying us by naming your baby Ass with two A’s…
Donald Trump has officially completed one full year as president, and holy moly what a year it’s been. You probably don’t even remember how much stuff really happened in the last year because mentally it’s felt like 20.
There are things we never imagined could happen during an American presidency. Remember “covfefe,” or when Trump indirectly called a nuclear weapon-wielding foreign dictator “short and fat,” or when Melania swatted his hand away, or when it was reported that the president needed daily briefings with a lot of pictures?
There’s no better indicator of the bizarre day-to-day developments of President Trump’s first year in office than reading the wonderful chyrons, the headline captions you see at the bottom of your screen during a news broadcast.
So rather than attempt to describe the past year, we picked out some of the best chyrons to illustrate just what a Twilight Zone-esque 365 days we’ve had.

the other Mike Pence
So there’s a guy on Twitter who is named Mike Pence but is not the soon-to-be Vice President garbage monster. Here’s his bio:

He’s amazing. Here’s a recent tweet he posted:

Vice President-elect Mike Pence is a no talent assclown.
Donald Trump had a meltdown on Twitter last night after Jill Stein confirmed that she’s pursuing a recount
Trump went on to tweet a statement attributed to Hillary Clinton during the presidential debates that disavowed a recount, decrying the “time and money” that will be spent on this only to achieve the “same result.” (Read More)
