So on my side of town where I live crime at all is pretty rare, less than 10 murders a year maybe. And last christmas a guy that was sort of adjacent to my group of friends, about my age, got killed and cannibalized by some older dude (save your Hannibal jokes I swear to fucking god) and he’s only just now on trial after being declared competent and it’s like, the trial of the year around here. And this guys big fucking argument is that the victim wanted to be killed and eaten and he was doing him a favor
