Sometimes you say a horrible thing like this and ideally that thing happens to you because you’re a shithead and some ppl, who may or may not be James Dobson, deserve it
but… they’re not. Trans is short for “transitioning” which is to say you go from one gender to the other. Non-binary people are not transitioning to another gender. They’re just not moving from one to another.
trans is not and has never been short for transitioning you dumb hoe
trans is short for transgender dumbass
also for those who don’t get it, the creator of the trans flag herself (monica helms, to be exact) has stated verbally, herself, that the white stripe in the flag was for nonbinary individuals + that nonbinary ppl are absolutely trans
if you exclude nonbinary folks and tell us we’re not trans go fuck yourselves

Lmao we are not starting this discourse on my blog I’ve had enough death threats in the 6 years I’ve been here and I don’t want any more thanks
it makes no sense for ace people to belong in the LGBT community though??
like who is going around killing ace people?? who has religions saying ace people are abominations?? who is making laws against ace people??
what do you even think oppression is??
being oppressed doesn’t mean “people don’t know about this aspect of me”
being oppressed requires people having extreme negative systemic prejudices that hinder your daily fucking life.
why the fuck should ace people belong in LGBT spaces??
Can we pls go like more than like 4 hours without discourse and aphobia on my posts please I am so tired
in every interview with pedro pascal i am 100% sure he is high af

Is the STEM world trans friendly ? Got accepted to CalTech.
In my experience, about 90% of the STEM folk I worked with were lgbtq+ people themselves, and were obviously very supportive of their trans coworkers/students.
However, oldass professors were a bit hard to deal with. But they will die soon anyways <3
Happy Pride Month! Don't forget that the founder of Pride is a bisexual woman, Brenda Howard aka Mother of Pride, who organized the first pride parade. Don't forget that two of the most key figures in LGBT liberation were Marsha P Johnson, a black trans woman, and Sylvia Rivera, a puerto rican trans bi woman. Don't forget that the person to start the fight against the police at stonewall was Stormé DeLarverie, a butch and gnc biracial lesbian.
Okay so in case y'all don’t know, this is from Pose. A series about the black trans community and ball culture in new York during the 80’s. Its got vogueing, lgbt+ culture, history, drama, romance, comedy, tragedy. Its wonderful and historically accurate and all the trans people are played by real trans actors.
This is so good I had to reblog it on both of my blogs.
Here’s what the image reads:
Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life
I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self. I’ve been endlessly inspired by so many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, your generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and compassionate place. I will offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society.
I also ask for patience. My joy is real, but it is also fragile. The truth is, despite feeling profoundly happy right now and knowing how much privilege I carry, I am also scared. I’m scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the “jokes” and of violence. To be clear, I am not trying to dampen a moment that is joyous and one that I celebrate, but I want to address the full picture. The statistics are staggering. The discrimination towards trans people is rife, insidious and cruel, resulting in horrific consequences. In 2020 alone it has been reported that at least 40 transgender people have been murdered, the majority of which were Black and Latinx trans women. The the political leaders who work to criminalize trans health care and deny our right to exist and to all those with a massive platform who continue to spew hostility towards the trans community: you have blood on your hands. You unleash a fury of vile and demeaning rage that lands on the shoulders of the trans community, a community in which 40% of trans adults report attempting suicide. Enough is enough. I am one of those people and we won’t be silent in the face of your attacks.
I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close amd fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better.
Thank you for reading this.
All my love,
Elliot
