One of my drivers caught on his dashcam today two stolen chargers whipping around his van, one of which has a head on collision with a lady in the other lane while going 90+ mph. My driver stops to check on the lady. She’s covered in blood. Leg is severed clean off. She died before the ambulance got there with my driver trying to comfort her through the window because the door was too busted to get open. Stolen cars have no plates, they ditch the busted car that hit the lady and get in their friends car and run, and you can hear in the dashcam video them laughing the whole time. Cops get there and won’t do anything because there aren’t any plate numbers. My driver comes back to the station covered in someone else’s blood, pissed off and freaked out.
Thinking about it is so weird though because like. My mom used to work ER and see trauma patients like that all day long and fuck dude I could never do it. Like I have the depersonalization skills in the moment to stay calm and do first aid and stuff but then I’d have to sit down and stare at a wall for 3 hours
