Oh I had one of those dreams last night that would make a good movie. It takes place in the future where there’s literally no such thing as privacy. You pay with stuff by retina scan and that all comes into play later. It started out with my friend, boyfriend and I in the military together and I dropped out to be a scientist. Then it flashes forward to me starting to get dreams and premonitions about a war with these sort of alien things. Then one day I’m just living my normal life doing astrophysics in Washington DC and I see something while looking through a telescope and it triggers like this sleeper cell thing where I just snap and be like “oh fuck something is coming, something is gonna happen NOW” and I flip out and a bunch of my new work friends believe me for some reason and we like trash the lab looking for emergency supplies and we steal a tourism bus.

In my premonitions I keep seeing this kid and his family in this one random suburb. I think the kid has autism and his hyperfixation is astronomy and I don’t know how I find him other than I just like. Figure out where I need to go. At this point I’m now a wanted fugitive which is a little overkill and I’m suspicious about that but we find the boy and his mom and sister come with us because the boy has been having premonitions too and some sort of war of the worlds thing is staring to go down. As we’re leaving the neighborhood gets destroyed by these aliens and the military fighting.

I figure out the kid and I are both wanted fugitives now because the military thinks we knew something about the war coming / had something to do with starting it by somehow making contact with the aliens. My face is literally plastered everywhere and my little crew of this one family, some survivors we picked up escaping the city, and these scientists are looking for a place to get more supplies. It’s a tourism bus so we find a bunch of those coupon booklets and end up at a store and we’re using the coupons so we don’t have to pay for stuff with cards/retina scans/anything that will get us identified.

As we’re in one store we see a military van pull up and find our bus in the parking lot and we realize they know we’re here while at the same time a cashier gets suspicious of me and signals an alarm so we all bolt. I sneak around the military van and steal it but realize I need a thumbprint ID to start the van and before I can try it to see if I’m still in the system as a military member the scanner turns green and the van starts so I pile everybody in and as I’m putting it in gear the door unlocks ‘on its own’ and an officer in a helmet jumps into the passenger seat and I’m trying to kick him out but he takes off the helmet and it’s my ex and it turns out he started the car remotely to help me escape. My other military friend was in the van originally too and stayed behind to help confuse the rest of the military personnel so I could have extra time to escape and we leave to try to go into hiding before I woke up.
