Zuzana Čaputová a great liberal lady promoting the use of masks which in some states such as the neighbouring czech republiic are MANDATORY despite not being available to buy - not sure if mandatory in slovakia (i’m czech) but i know they are not generally available anywhere and governments are struggling to secure them for doctors, nevermind the public. so here in central europe we are hand-making masks and sending them to the hospitals and the public, our former first lady, celebrities, fashion designers and regular nonfamous people are all making them and DONATING THEM, no one is capitalising on masks. and we do have plenty of designs, so leave the slovak president alone???? wow her mask and dress match, she must be a total bitch

because NO they do not protect YOU from catching the virus, they prevent you from SPREADING it if you have it. and since we do not know who does - mandatory masks, you protect me and i protect you.

has the west ever heard of solidarity or are you here only to bitch about “capitalism but make it fashion hurr hurr ruling class” while YOUR countries’ governments are failing to protect you??? s h u t  u p and educate yourselves before you open your mouth at small european countries who are actually taking this seriously and taking care of its citizens

Remember year ago when the pandemic started and western tumblr proved just how misogynic and US centric they are? Calling Čaputová a bitch for wearing a cloth mask when her country had limited medical mask suply that was needed in the hospitals? Comparing her to video game villains and handmaids?

Also when they proved they have’t done minimal research on how masks work because it wasn’t woke yet.

Čaputová: *wins Goldman Environmental Prize, aka the ‘Green Nobel‘*

Čaputová: *becomes the youngest, and first female president of Slovakia*

Čaputová: *makes a color-coordinated mask so she looks cute while doing politics and to make a statement of support and solidarity during a supply shortage to the general population*

tumblr could do well in learning that not everyone involved in politics is a prick. some people actually want to help. because they’re people too. crazy how that works right
