if you ever have a video of yours go viral for the love of god don’t license it to any media licensing company like Viralhog or Junkin media or w/e. They just strip you of your rights of the video and post it without credit and you only get paid if you make a certain threshold off the content, plus they take at least a 40% cut

I’ve had offers to licence before and have turned them down. I’ve seen other people lose thousands by licensing, plus negotiating contracts to try to get a bigger cut can get you completely kicked from your own platform if you have a partnership. Doing Things Media recently just completely nuked All Gas No Brakes bc the host tried to renegotiate his contract and DTM cut him off and took his channel
also be careful about what you sign. christines snaps spoke recently about how she was asked to sign release forms allowing pages to repost a viral video of hers and signed one without realizing that it actually transferred over full rights to the video (including her right to repost it and to make merch off of it) over to the company. they had also offered to help her on the back end by copyright claiming people reposting it without permission, so look out for companies offering that service too. she was able to get the rights to the video back but seriously be careful about what you sign!!
