When I was in a quantum class we were all writing down notes but I always just downloaded the powerpoints and wrote notes on them and the prof asked why I wasn’t taking notes (I was, I had already finished typing bc I didn’t have to copy down a formula) and I just said in the most neutral voice possible “Oh, I can’t read” and I have never feared being murdered by being stabbed through the heart with a dry erase marker before that day
