Bill Nye is getting impatient. In fact, we’re all getting impatient. It’s been more than 42 years now since humans set foot on the moon. NASA’s budget is a fraction of what it used to be. Human spaceflight ambitions are retreating. Public interest is waning. Meanwhile, a new frontier beckons, discoveries are waiting to be made and a new generation is ready to be inspired.
Enter fightforspacefilm.
Fight for Space is a documentary film that explains the economic and cultural benefits of human space exploration. Fight for Space will examine future plans from NASA and other commercial endeavors. It features interviews from top scientists, astronauts, NASA officials and more. [WATCH THE TRAILER]
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2012 to create the documentary, the filmmakers are returning to Kickstarter to raise the remaining funds needed to complete post-production and release the film later this year.
If the crowdfunding campaign is successful by Feb. 1, the documentary will receive a limited theatrical release, be distributed digitally and will then go on to be broadcast on public television. The filmmakers will also send a copy of the film to every U.S. lawmaker to better educate them on space policy. I’m thinking Ted Cruz needs TWO copies.

Taiwanese design firm Acorn Studio has created a series of 7 different size lamps clled Luna, which mimic the beauty of the moon. Similar in color and shape, Luna is a hand crafted dimmable halogen light, which contains adjustable luminosity settings.
The aim of the lamp and its symbolic representation serves to set an atmospheric setting in every room it is placed.
