I had blood samples taken like a year ago back when they thought blood type may contribute to severity of covid but that's been p much debunked to my knowledge so now, im thinking that they're thinking it may have to do with illnesses I had as a kid because the fact that im still alive after all the shit i was sick with makes me an affront to god

Okay so yes. about me being like, the unluckiest kid EVER. I’ve had scarlet fever 3 times. While it’s widely believed to be a ‘one and done’ illness like chickenpox, it’s technically not. and I just kept catching it. I do know that the reason I’d get scarlet fever so often was because it would be a progression of me having strep throat a lot, as left untreated, strep can turn into scarlet fever. Blame it on a high pain tolerance, idk. However, the insurance company that my parent’s used wouldn’t cover me having a tonsillectomy unless I had strep at least 6 times in a 12 month period. So, I still have my tonsils in, and still get strep throat, although not as often as I would get it as a child. I’m still, unfortunately, at risk for getting scarlet fever despite being a grown adult, because insurance companies do not give a single fuck about kids with obvious immune deficiencies that would let them get fucking scarlet fever 3 times before the age of 15.

dont get me started about how they treated me when i had pancreatitis and had to have insulin thrapy *therapy the were like 'then die lmao' im still so fucking pissed about it

To the therapist anon: even if you don’t have depression, going to therapy *always* helps. My mom is mentally healthy, but after her sister died she went to therapy and it helped her so much! Wayyy before I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder I was seeing a therapist to help me deal with my ADD... therapy always helps, talking to someone always helps, and wanting help is absolutely always ok. Good luck anon!

okay real talk if you’re not listening to the bright sessions you are in fact doing yourself a disservice. in fact let me just sell you on it right now:

  • atypicals™ going to therapy every week to learn how to live normal lives
  • Caleb and Adam. are gay together. we don’t actually hear it directly but caleb talks about his crush like half the time during his therapy sessions with dr.bright and it is so cute your heart will melt
  • Caleb (an empath) alone will steal your heart because he is so kind and respectful and articulate i mean tiny woodland animals would flock to this football-loving boy he is so pure
  • three girl characters: one is a time-traveler (but none of that butterfly-effect time-travel bs), one basically reads minds, and the other is Dr. Bright. And no forced romance plots for any of them! *throws confetti*
  • Sam (the time traveller) is you if you are ever: awkward around people, talking too much, or accidentally implying that you are buds with Sigmund Freud
  • mysterious organization, mysterious goals, mysterious backstory
  • obligatory asshole character
  • lauren shippen (the creator) gets that we like playlists, and showed us Adam’s mixtape for Caleb (to calm him down) and even made 8tracks for the other characters!
