It’s literally not. Flint’s water will stay just as poisoned as it has been until they start replacing pipes.
And the damage is already done anyway. My nieces and nephews are literally having seizures because the lead levels are so high. My aunt is in the hospital from it. I know so many families that have had their children taken away because water bills are some of the highest in the nation, annually more than $500 above the average and people can’t afford that. After 90 days of not being able to pay the water bills they shut off your water and they can condemn your home because of it. With no running water, CPS will take your kids and you can lose your home. Kids are being either poisoned or stripped from their families because of this. The damage has already been done.
