As a ferret owner I can confirm that my three ferrets do not give a single fuck about being held like that. A ferret WILL let you know if it doesn’t like how you’re holding it. But they like being turned into potato sacks for some reason.
Yeah ferrets get super limp sometimes when you hold them, plus they have a flexible spine and ribs, it doesn’t bother them a bit. They are just loose sacks of meat and kleptomania.

My mom’s birthday is the ides of march and mine is 2 days later on st patrick’s day and I was talking to a friend of mine about it the other day and said “oh my mom’s birthday is 2 days before mine” but she must have heard “my mom was born 2 days before me” because it took me about 5 minutes to explain to a full grown adult that birthdays happen every year and that my mother just so happened to be celebrating hers for 30 years before me

That was my cat does, he’ll rub and groom the heck out of me
Something outside scared the shit out of the cats so we all went and stood on the porch and we heard a bunch rustling along the edge of the property. So I was like “I’m gonna go get a flashlight.” so we all went and I grabbed our baton flashlight and no one else wanted to go with me so I was like “ok whatever”. So I went and checked the property line which is like a fence with ivy and trees growing around it and I kept hearing rustling but when I would crawl towards it, whatever it was would retreat back. I never got a look at what it was but judging the amount of rustling it was something small like a raccoon or a possum so I went back in and was like “idk probably a raccoon” and my mom was like “Thank u for being brave enough to go check it out!!” and I said “Mom it’s not being brave if u already want to die”

Get a rabbit cage or something built for ferrets. “Rat” cages are way too small for rats. They need buddies, imo I liked raising boys better. They love hammocks. Bird toys are just as good as rat toys (ladders, ropes, cozies). They love attention and giving kisses!! And don’t burn candles/incense/smoke around your ratties, they have incredibly sensitive lungs. Get them low dust bedding or even better, cloth bedding, for this same reason. They’re so very smart too, so get them plenty of toys and re-arrange their cage every time you clean it to keep them stimulated. Look up the subreddit for rats, you could find lots of info there!
