My favorite part was how walmart did that thing where they get a bunch of people to work a long part time shift, but just short enough to not be full time, thinking they could avoid giving employees healthcare. It turns out you can’t do that in Germany, so they had to give healthcare to way more employees than if they had just hired people to full time positions.

florida culture is having “hurricane parties” which is where you and all your friends have a sleepover at the sturdiest house among the group and pray the power doesn’t go out during your group netflix binge. there’s usually a lot of snacks involved so it’s nice to see walmart making special cakes for the occasion

careless whisper was playing on a loop. there were 3 other people. none of the checkouts were open so you had to use self checkout. i didn’t see a single worker there. multiple lights were flickering.

I’ve gotten a few comments about how the Walmart I work at is the “"black Walmart”“ in the city and they all act so concerned like "oh that’s unfortunate you have to work there” like no it isn’t??? Because I’m not a piece of shit??? Like have you considered that your own uncomfortableness to be in such an environment is because you’re fucking racist?? And that not everyone feels that way??
