being oppressed doesn’t mean “people don’t know about this aspect of me”
being oppressed requires people having extreme negative systemic prejudices that hinder your daily fucking life.

Okay so in case y'all don’t know, this is from Pose. A series about the black trans community and ball culture in new York during the 80’s. Its got vogueing, lgbt+ culture, history, drama, romance, comedy, tragedy. Its wonderful and historically accurate and all the trans people are played by real trans actors.

can you please have some empathy for people who experience real oppression, like, the kind that actually gets people killed and makes teenagers homeless because their parents can’t accept their child for the way they are born??
what have ace people contributed for the benefit of LGBT people in order to earn a place in this community?
why should ace people just be included in a community of people who experience actual oppression?
or are you just going to be dismissive because empathy and critical thinking are too damn difficult?
the point of a community is to have something in common with the people around you. what do ace people have in common with LGBT people?
