I climbed a waterfall on a hike, slipped and shredded my leg on the extremely sharp rocks and then had to finish the hike on my heavily bleeding leg.
I did a similar thing cleaning up the Chippewa River. It was after a heavy flood and we capsized our canoe twice and I dislocated my knee getting pinned under some rocks and almost drowned. Had to get myself up and continue the River afterwards despite looking like a drowned rat
