Ok a little rant about Star Trek 14
So we all know that (unfortunately) Simon Pegg and Doug Jung are not writing Star Trek 4 and Justin Lin isn’t directing it. It is back to JJ and his crew.
But is it just me that is terrified of what JJ is going to do to Jaylah? We all know about his love for love interest plots and unnecessary nude scenes. I swear to god if he shows Jaylah in her underwear once or reduces her to someone’s girlfriend (Kirks or Scotty’s idc who) I promise you i w i l l r i o t
He might not do this and and he might stick with the beyond theme of hopefulness and keep everything that Pegg and Jung brought to the rebooted trek and make it a great Star Trek movie and make it similar to beyond.
But if he does take the into darkness route (and we all know the rule about the trek films) and does something problematic eg kill of Ben Sulu and/or Demora Sulu for ‘shock factor’ or any of the above I will not rest until I have met him and given him a stern lecture about the morals of trek

This Village Without Roads Is Straight Out Of A Fairytale Book
The village Giethoorn known as the “Venice of the Netherlands” was founded in 1230 and resembles some of the most beautiful fairytale passages. The stunning oddity contains no roads or modern transportation. With the help of canals and 176 bridges, people are able to navigate through its wonders.
I think the reason our generation is so nostalgic (i.e. “You know you’re a 90s kid when _____”) is because of the sheer rate of technological advance in the last 20 years. Think of what the technological landscape was in the early-mid 90s. The internet was practically useless for entertainment purposes, smart phones were merely a dream for hopeful young inventors, TV was king, landlines and VHS and cassettes. The Jetsons seemed hundreds of years away and now we’re practically living the Jetsons. We’ve got robots that clean our floors and smart homes that you can talk to and have it control your home and the 90s equivalent of a supercomputer in our pocket, TV is becoming obsolete in favor of computers. In 20 years it’s changed this much. And that’s why millennials are so nostalgic despite being in their twenties, it’s because an entire lifetime or two of technological advancement has happened right before our eyes
