Do rats and mice make good pets? I think they're adorable and would love one, but have no idea what kind of care they require, their temperament, etc... Any insight would be much appreciated before I adopted one of those Li'l Guys™️ of my own. 😅
I’ve never had mice but I’ve had rats before. Male rats are easier than female rats imo. Get two or more because they’re social creatures. Get a cage that’s like. The size of a bookshelf. They need a lot of space. And they will pee everywhere so be warned. Rats are very dog-like. They get excited to see you come home. They’ll jump around at feeding time. They love to play and they love pats. They secrete oils onto their fur so they will need bathtime every once in a while. They love yogurt bites. They’re lil sweeties.
