DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN DISNEY MADE ALL THESE TV SHOWS BASED OFF THEIR MOVIES
AND THEY HAD LIKE RIDICULOUS CROSSOVERS

YES, THAT IS HERCULES WITH ALADDIN
AND THEY HAD THESE NEW VILLAINS

(Lady La from Legend of Tarzan)

(NOS-4-A4 from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command)

(Mozenrath from Aladdin)

AND THEY HAD LIKE DARK VERSIONS OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS AND IT WAS RLY TRIPPY. THAT’S LIKE DARK JANE THERE FROM LEGEND OF TARZAN
AND THIS ONE’S CHAOS ALADDIN

AND HERE’S EVIL BUZZ LIGHTYEAR
AND THESE WERE ACTUAL EPISODE TITLES THAT WERE RIDICULOUS PUNS

SORRY FOR THAT LONG POST BUT JUST
I REMEMBERED THESE TODAY AND I LOST IT
Favourite Movies: Treasure Planet, (2002) ★
There were nights when the winds of the Etherium, so inviting in their promise of flight and freedom, made one’s spirit soar
IF YOU HAVE NOT YET WATCHED THIS MOVIE, YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON ONE OF THE BEST FILMS DISNEY HAS MADE IN THE PAST FIFTEEN YEARS. STEAM PUNK BEFORE STEAM PUNK WAS REALLY A THING, THIS WAS A STELLAR EXAMPLE OF SCIENCE FICTION AND A WONDERFUL ADAPTATION OF A CLASSIC STORY FOR A NEW AUDIENCE. THE ART WAS AMAZING, THE MUSIC IS BREATHTAKING. THE SCRIPT IS EMOTIONAL AND HAS SO MUCH HEART AND SOUL TO IT. THE CHARACTERS ARE ALL MULTI-DEMENSIONAL AND COMPLEX, THE VILLAIN IS COMPLEX AND MORALS ARE QUESTIONED ON ALL SIDES OF IT. THERE’S LAUGHTER AND TEARS AND A THEME OF FAMILY, OF GROWING UP, OF BELONGING, FREEDOM, AND SO MUCH MORE. PLEASE. WATCH TREASURE PLANET, IF NOTHING ELSE ITS AN IMAGINATIVE HOUR AND A HALF OF GREAT VISUALS.
I kind of wish disney’s ~weird period~ had lasted longer. Like all of a sudden we were getting these films like lilo & stitch and Atlantis and the emperor’s new groove and treasure planet and they were so fun and DIFFERENT. Just thinking about what the pitches for those movies had to have been like is so surreal?? A little blue criminal alien crash lands on a Hawaiian island and gets adopted by two sisters dealing with social services that teach him about the value of family. An Inca emperor gets turned into a llama and john goodman helps him get back to his palace and one of the bad guys talks to squirrels. Treasure island but in SPACE. Like, on the surface, the premise for these films seem so random but they all TOTALLY WORKED IN REALLY GREAT WAYS??? idk I just really miss that early 2000s spark of offbeat creativity in Disney’s timeline.

Abigail Disney has no control or input on the operations of the corporation, she is a Disney heiress and, in that respect, nothing else. She puts her money towards philanthropy, especially women’s movements around the globe and peace organizations like Peace is Loud and the Global Fund for Women. She is a documentary filmmaker who explores these themes as well.
There are problematic family investments she earns money from that, legally, she cannot divest from. Instead, she donates these profits to charities that counter to those investments.
Reblogging this version because I needed to read this after watching the video
I found this buried in the stacks at a local Disney collectibles store. It’s the “year book” of sorts given out to the production crew of “Mulan” after the film wrapped. Mulan was the first feature film completed entirely at the Florida Disney Animation Studio at Disney-MGM Studios.
It’s a great little book, filled with lots of photos of animators and producers I recognize, and even more photos of people I don’t. But every one of them helped contribute to one of my favorite animated movies.
It also has lots of great little joke sketches in it. I especially like the “girl scouts” one which, while not credited, is obviously by Chris Sanders.
Definitely here for Shang’s secret night job.
Damn Shang
“BLAUGH” - Woody
NO NO NO
DO NOT DRINK ANYTHING WITH GLOWSTICK JUICE IN IT. IT’S NOT “INSTANT DEATH” TOXIC BUT IT’S STILL HELLA BAD FOR YOU.
