I think people are too worried about us not finding aliens yet. I usually think this: trying to find other intelligent life is like having two people on opposite sides of the US and getting rid of everyone else. Then expecting them to just run into each other.
Yeah basically. Space is so vast in both volume and time it’s like firing two guns from opposite sides of a football stadium and expecting the bullets to collide
