Zach is phenomenal in this scene! To do a scene like this where he is trying to suppress his emotions but having an emotional response to a situation anyway must be a tricky thing to balance.
He sells this perfectly.
I think a lot of the emotion was so real. Such an incredible performance.
I also think the emotion was real and that Zach channeled his own feelings which is actually what a good actor WOULD do. But yeah, when I saw this I instantly thought of Leonard and my heart squeezed.
That’s what makes it that much better. We know it’s more Zach mourning Leonard but he still has to play it as Spock.
