My bests childhood cop story is when I was in high school I had some neighbors who were Rascally Problem Children that would be noisy and loud at night, so one night I'm getting ready for bed and I hear some noise outside so I peek out my window to see if it's Those Darn Kids again and instead I see two dudes stalking through our backyard, looking at the windows and shit o of course I freak out and run down and tell my mom and she has a moment where she's like "you're kidding" and then she yells, very loudly, "GET THE GUN" hoping to scare whoever off and goes to call the cops but it turns out that the dudes in our backyard -were- cops - one of my sisters boyfriends had misses some parole check in and so they thought hed be hiding in our backyard for some reason?? Instead of in the house??

Also this was in Montana which has Castle Doctrine laws so technically if my mom actually went for the gun first she could have shot a cop because they didn't knock
