Oh, is it shitty cop storytime? I have one!

Back when I was younger, I went and hung out with my aunt for the weekend. After that, she was driving me back home when she got pulled over. Turns out she had a warrant out and they carried her off.

They had originally wanted to take me in to services because they thought I was a minor (I was not) but I managed to convince them to not take me (I'd brought my dogs for the trip and if they had taken me, the dogs would have gone to Animal Services and I knew I wouldn't have gotten them back easily). This was before cell phones were common so the cop got my uncle's phone number and promised to call him to tell him where I was (at a gas station).

Turns out that cop tried calling once and basically went "she's at a gas station" for the voicemail he did leave and NO other information. So I was stuck at a gas station for EIGHT HOURS in the Texas August heat because he was so incompetent before I managed to get a hold of someone as they had no idea where the fuck I was.

I have so many other stories for bad cops but this is the main one for why I don't trust cops. Fuck 'em and ACAB.
