Mine is more of a shitty justice system story, but this kid stole my car and crashed it. He was 17, so I wrote a letter to the judge, and in the pre-sentencing statement, asking not to send a child to prison over a car. I go to the sentencing, the defense attorney never knew about the letters, they blew me off and sentenced him to four years. The fucking judge told this kid he could never change. I lose sleep over it.
