this isn't quite a shitty cop story (but isn't it though) but when my valley had BLM protests in 2020 all the cops were there and it had to be super controlled white safe liberalism, but then the next night the KKK had a rally on top of the hill and there was nothing done at all. i'm like 98% sure i heard city council members were there.
