Hi, I’m a journalism student at Kent State University. Everyone here hates Kaitlin with a passion. She gives our university such a bad name. We do not claim her. She is the biggest coward I have ever encountered. I saw her on campus recently and I went up to her to ask her a question (because I am a journalist and that’s what I do) and she could SEE the hatred in my eyes. I know this because she backed away in fear. She was like, “sorry I don’t do that” and I was like, “Just one question” and she was literally backing away from me in fear like, “no, i’m sorry” And let me just tell you, I have neverrrrr felt more powerful. I made this biotch shake in her fuckin yeehaw boots. Fuckin ramen noodle hair ass motherfucker. Okay I’m done ranting lol sorry

A friend of mine went to the Astronomy Day thing in Ann Arbor and he ran into one of my followers that I’ve talked to briefly and apparently the follower was like “oh you go to this university? I know Kaijuno goes to this university and is in your major and she’s really popular on tumblr! Do you know Jess?” And he was like “ya she lives across the hall” so apparently one of my followers met one of my friends in real life this is so exciting

so there was flash flooding in my town yesterday, and the lower portions of the university started to flood before class was canceled. we’re talking waterfall staircases, runoff several inches deep, the works.

anyway, a student stole one of the patio umbrellas from the student center and things escalated

I left the university where I spent the last year doing research and they were like “ah cool all that work you did…. that’s ours now” despite the fact that I’m continuing my research at a better lab now so my old boss and I went in and purged the servers of my work and saved it all on portable hard drives for me to take to the new lab, where I will still be working with my old boss / new coworker

Not to stir up anything, but I’d definitely check your local employment and education laws. Being dismissed from university for a mental health issue sounds like it falls in that area of “definitely shitty enough to go to court over.” Or at the very least they should have a method of recourse for medical issues. They did that for my brother at his Uni.

I know they had no right to do that but I didn’t have enough money for a lawyer and they wouldn’t have given me my scholarships back either way

Any states in particular you've been looking at universities in? Because if you're thinking about Denver at all I can highly recommend Metropolitan State University. The tuition is hella cheap, the professors are great, small class sizes, beautiful campus right in Denver. They recently finished building a new aerospace building and because it also shares campus with CU Denver you can take some of your classes through CU but still pay metro tuition.
