(for the other anon) Hiya, stranger. Like you, i've wasted years doing not much, part to fear and part to depression. It feels very shameful no to have progressed in your life and every little step seems overwhelming and goals, just impossible to reach. But the truth is, you don't own anything to anyone about how you live your life. It's yours and you deserve it, and you don't need to do anything specifically with it either. It's yours, it is fully your and not anyone's else so it is very much pointless to compare it to others. To compare your failures to the successes you imagine others have is very much self harming. If you want to do something, anything to change my tip would be to start very, very small. Anything is better, even if it fails. It's something, it's experience, it means you tried even if no one knows it. Even if you have wasted years and even if you will waste some more, it is your life and yours only, and no one has the permission to judge it.
