on the topic of delirious in the hospital, when i had throat surgery and they removed the intubation i woke up because i didn’t have enough oxygen. unfortunately only the basic survival part of my brain woke up, and i assumed the nurses trying to put an oxygen mask on me were attempting to suffocate me. i fought so hard i nearly ripped my IV out and they gave up trying to put the mask on me and just waited for me to pass out again before kind of just holding it up to my face to get my O2 stats back up.
I was like claustrophobic when they went to put a mask on me and I was apparently ready to throw hands
