I was reading a reddit thread about shitty weddings and it reminded me of the time I went to my friend’s jewish wedding and the rabbi was off the shits on something or another and forgot to bring the glass wrapped in the napkin which for gentile folk, it’s a pretty important part of the wedding right before Party Time where the groom steps on a glass wrapped in a towel/napkin (not 100% sure why but it’s very common at jewish weddings). Luckily the wedding and reception were at the same venue and a bartender ran out with a towel and a wine glass for the groom to complete the ceremony but for the 5 or so minutes everyone was just standing around was so awkward and I could tell the bride just wanted to die
