We have 3 cats, one fat shorthair male, one slightly less fat but longhair female, and one tiny little runt-of-the-litter shorthair grandma cat that weights about 4 pounds (she’s perfectly healthy, just the size of a 5 month old kitten). Fatso and slightly-less-fatso have the most dainty, small, high pitched meows. So dainty. So cute.
Meanwhile our tiny grandma cat sounds like a hawk screaming with gravel in its mouth when she meows. She sounds like the devil.
What the fuck is going on here. In the week since I published a micro-essay on how the Romans crucified dogs I’ve been followed by three blogs whose content is essentially if not literally exactly the same. I’ve tried messaging all of them. “Did you accidentally follow me with a side blog?” “Am I getting punk’d?” “What is going on here?” No reply. And like, I can’t tell if this is a cat meme that became sentient and is trying to get me popular enough to reach the niche of Greco-Roman Civilization-touting white supremacists so that they start crucifying dogs or like, is this a sentient dog meme out to punish me for the essay, what the fuck kind of Ghost in the Shell internet consciousness SCP is doing this? Is this a really advanced Russian bot or hacker trying to, idk, get information on someone publicly and outspokenly a hard Leftist? What the fuck.

I thought I was Jewish when I was her age but I was actually Catholic so when my Jewish friends invited me to give a prayer at his house during Chanukah and I recited “Our Father who art in heaven…”, my friend’s mom got on her knees and said to my face in a super soft voice, “Joey, I think you’re catholic not Jewish,” in front of everyone and I thought I was in trouble and I started crying.
