in freshman year of hs I had a foreign exchange student in my theater class from china and day one he wrote his name in mandarin on the board and was like “you guys don’t know what this means but it translates to sunny so just call me that” and later he said his name was actually Wang Wei but he knew he was dealing with like, 14yo kids and wang is slang for peepee so he decided on the spot he was just gonna get called sunny
I can’t even be mad at him for that because my full name is in English and someone kids still managed to make fun of it
honestly it was a pro gamer move
