Take the first pill immediately (or the first day after your next period ends, whatever doctor recommends), then just… Take one every day. The packet should have the day printed for each pill so you know if you got off track. If you miss one, take it as soon as you remember. If you miss two, take two at your normal time for two days. DONT take two at a time more than two days in a row. But yeah that’s about it

I’m only speaking for norgestimate that I am on so it might be different for different meds. But yeah, I recommend setting an alarm on your phone if your like me and forget things even if they are time sensitive!
