I made celebratory cookies yesterday, and got to break the news to two roommates. One of them is a new roommate who's an exchange student from India and she was clearly trying not to smile in case I was upset (since we've only known each other for a few weeks and haven't exactly talked about the English monarchy since we're on the other side of the planet lol), until I told her what I was doing and she grinned and asked if I wanted to borrow her sugar. The other is someone who's been my roommate for a while and she got the news because I texted her at work like "hey can I borrow your cinnamon? Queen Lizzie kicked it so I'm making cookies"
I got to tell my boyfriend the news while he was playing guitar and he stopped and looked at me for a second and was like “good”
