Are you on the autism spectrum? I ask because of your tags because of your most recent post about hyper fixation, and that’s a big sign of being on the spectrum.

Never been tested but it wouldn’t surprise me if I was. I have certain habits and behaviors that would correspond to being on the high functioning end. I’ve never really worried about it though because it doesn’t really effect my life too much 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fun fact: vaccinations don’t cause autism. You can’t fucking “catch” autism. You’re either born with it or you’re not, Jesus fucking Christ.

I really like The Good Doctor because the main character, Shaun, is autistic. And visibly autistic. He has trouble speaking, he doesn’t make eye contact, he misses social queues and struggles to relate to people sometimes. The character is written really well, it does a really good job of portraying the characteristics of someone with autism and fucking finally it’s a tv show that doesn’t romanticize his autism. It’s not perfect, I know, but it’s a breath of fresh air after having a lot of piss-poor representations of characters with disabilities like autism. And it also makes me happy because the main character is still able to operate and live on his own and be a fully functional adult with autism.
