This is from the company I’ve been working with the past couple months!! Not on this specific project but you should totally check it out if you like tabletop board and card games!
The game features 12 dragons you can choose to play with, all with their own stats and unique ability, villages and castles to raid for cards, a shop to buy cards from, coin tokens, life tokens, dragon figurines and much more.
Their kickstarter launches in November and you can get more info at gnarlygames.gg
The blue eyes mark this crow as young, not a full adult.

A bird explaining to a hedgehog crossing so it doesn’t die.
!!! ok but that’s legitimately what it’s doing!! That’s a corvid right there (looks like a hooded crow, to be precise), which means it’s intelligent enough to recognize, a) cars are dangerous and streets should be treated with a certain degree of caution, b) this car’s slowing down for them–cars do that sometimes–which means they’re not in imminent danger, so it doesn’t have to fly away just yet, c) that hedgehog’s still gonna get killed if it doesn’t MOVE, FAST (cars can change speed very quickly and the hedgehog’s still in the way), and almost certainly also d) if the bird does nothing it gets a free lunch.
Y’all, Y’ALL. This bird is consciously deciding to put itself in danger in order to save the life of a very stupid creature. A creature which, if the bird did nothing, could be free food.
i can’t - look if you follow me you know I have a thing for corvids, but this is - like!!! People are always saying “ah yes they have sub-human intelligence and don’t consider anything that isn’t immediately necessary for their own survival/pleasure,” but! Whether or not it can do philosophy, this crow is clearly demonstrating compassion. Even if it’s just the kind of compassion a toddler shows to a snail, a social creature that instinctively recognizes the potential for emotion in other beings, that’s still huge and cool and important and corvids!!! are! neat!!!

That header photo doesn’t do the dragon justice. (For shame!). Here’s NASA’s own photo:

I know there’s a really good comment to make on this, but I’m just having trouble seeing it.

- After Henry’s death, his younger brother Charles becomes heir apparent and is crowned King Charles I in 1625.
- Charles I is unpopular with the English Puritans for a number of reasons, including his marriage to a Catholic. Many of them emigrate to America, including Mary Folger in 1635.
- Folger settles in Massachusetts and her grandson, Benjamin Franklin, is born there in 1706.
- Franklin travels to Philadelphia in 1722, and finds work with Samuel Keimer, founder of the Pennsylvania Gazette. Franklin purchases the business from Keimer in 1729.
- Under Franklin, the Gazette becomes one of the most popular newspapers in America. In 1821, it is rebranded as the Saturday Evening Post.
- In 1927, the Post prints a cartoon from 23 year old illustrator Theodor Geisel. Encouraged by this success, Geisel moves to New York City that same year, and becomes a published cartoonist.
- Geisel takes the pen name of Dr Seuss and publishes the children’s book, The Lorax, in 1971.
- The Lorax is adapted into a feature film in 2012, gains a following on tumblr, and we all know what transpires.
how do people figure out things like this
It’s easy when you work backwards start with Seuss then look for information that could be funny
Fantasy Is A Metaphor For The Human Condition, a comic about magic, and art, and speculative fiction, and being sick, and how they all intersect. Originally laid out/pencilled November-December 2017, when I was in a very difficult place emotionally as I was relearning how to draw post-brain injury.
