It took two years for me to get the job I currently have, and in that time only two other places interviewed me. One of them outright told me they'd accomodate my travel difficulty in regards to what location I would train at then promptly didn’t hire me because I couldn’t get to the location they wanted me to train at. Some areas might have more available jobs than others but that is NOT true for everywhere. Treating it like it is puts blame on people for 'not trying hard enough' and is frankly out of line.
You're doing what's right for you and I hope nobody makes you feel bad about looking out for yourself! <3
